Años después, ya adulta, cuando me di cuenta de que el pasado que creí remoto era «ayer», intenté entender; lo sigo intentando. Quería entender la «Memoria del Cautiverio» que, consolidada hoy como hegemónica, es regional, poco visibilizada en el resto del país, y escasamente atendida por los historiadores. Y en mi afán, quizás inútil, de saber más; en mi frustración por no haber sabido escuchar a los mayores que me habrían contado sus historias, encontré una pequeña luz en una invención que algo tiene de verdad y de historia, pero también de invento, de buena y mala memoria». -- Nota del autor. |
